ENSCO Rail, an international leader in advanced rail technology solutions for passenger, transit and freight markets, will be participating in the Wheel Rail Interaction Conference in Atlanta, May 18-20.
The Wheel/Rail Interaction Conference is a multi-disciplinary forum for track and mechanical professionals to meet, exchange ideas, and share their experiences in the critical area of the wheel/rail interface. This year’s event features a Rail Transit seminar, a Principles Course, and a Heavy Haul seminar.
ENSCO Rail Director of Business Development Matt Dick will be presenting a paper, “Role of Machine Vision in Monitoring Vehicle and Track,” May 19. His presentation will discuss rail industry machine vision systems intended for vehicle health and track heath. It will dive into the common inner workings of the commonly used machine vision systems and techniques to help understand how they work and what are they are accomplishing. Topics covered will be different camera types, and processing methodologies and applications, such as coupler securement inspection and joint bar inspection. Dick will also address new machine vision technologies and techniques and how they are shaping the future of measurement practices in the rail industry.
The event is expected to draw approximately 500 professionals from a variety of related fields, from front-line supervisors to top-level managers.
