Calgary, Alberta, Canada – December 5, 2024
ENSCO Rail has delivered its second heavy-duty hi-rail truck to Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC). This state-of-the-art vehicle enhances CPKC’s ability to monitor and improve track conditions and safety standards across its extensive transnational rail network.
The advanced Track Geometry Measurement System (TGMS) onboard the truck is engineered to deliver high-precision measurements while meeting regulatory compliance requirements. It includes an innovated sliding weight design that enables easy highway travel with the ability to have heavy loaded track testing with 10,000-pound vertical wheel load. This lowers the overall weight and size of the hi-rail making it easier to survey around the CPKC network. The TGMS also collects track geometry data close to the wheel, helping CPKC gather important information on track conditions across its network to keep trains running safely.
“We’re honored to continue supporting CPKC with cutting-edge technology that ensures compliance and improves rail safety,” said Alex Seredich, Division Manager of ENSCO Rail. “Our partnership reflects our shared commitment to innovation and excellence in rail operations. The high-quality data provided by this truck helps CPKC monitor and enhance track performance across their network.”
This delivery demonstrates ENSCO’s ongoing commitment to partnering with the rail industry to advance safety and operational excellence.
