ENSCO is pleased to announce it will be a Silver Supporter of the 2018 IEEE Radar Conference in Oklahoma City, April 23-27. In addition, ENSCO will sponsor the IEEE AES Society Radar Summer School, April 21-22, also in Oklahoma.
Dr. Michael Picciolo, ENSCO Chief Technology Officer for the National Security Solutions Division of ENSCO, will be awarded the prestigious Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society Outstanding Organizational Leadership Award at the conference. Picciolo was selected for his accomplishments and efforts in leading the Radar Systems Panel Education Committee and founding the annual Radar Summer School series, starting with the 2017 IEEE Radar Conference.
The IEEE Radar Conference is the world’s premier radar conference. The theme of this year’s conference is “Spurring Innovation” and will be held near Norman, Okla., home of NOAA’s National Severe Storms Laboratory and the Advanced Radar Research Center at the University of Oklahoma, which collectively have driven much of the modern-day weather radar technology in the U.S.
Held in conjunction with the Radar Conference will be the IEEE AES Radar Summer School. The program covers a variety of fundamental topics central to the field of radar and is especially valuable to those starting a career in radar. Classes are taught by some of the world’s leading researchers, including Dr. Michael Picciolo, who organizes and lectures at the Radar Summer School.
