Colorado Springs, CO – November 7, 2024
ENSCO, Inc., as part of the NewSat North America LLC team, collaboratively will team up to compete for work on an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from the U.S. Space Force (USSF) Space Rapid Capabilities Office (Space RCO) at Kirtland Air Force Base. The contract, known as Rapid Resilient Command and Control (R2C2), will develop, integrate, and demonstrate capabilities for an end-to-end satellite operations ground system. The R2C2 program will develop a next-generation ground system built on a commercial cloud architecture, as outlined by Space RCO. The delivery orders under the IDIQ will be for software tools and infrastructure to allow Space Force operators to reposition satellites or conduct other operations in a more agile way than is currently done. A series of delivery orders with a total value of $1 billion will be competed amongst the winners for the next five years with two option years. The first delivery order, DO1, awarded with a start date of September 1, focuses on knowledge transfer for each of the small businesses.
“This opportunity will allow ENSCO to continue demonstrating our exceptional capabilities in ground systems by expanding to satellite operations and assisting the USSF in maintaining space superiority,” stated Selenda Grimes, ENSCO’s Director of the Space Mission Domain.
