Falls Church, Va., June 20, 2018

ENSCO Avionics, a leading supplier of safety- and mission-critical software and programmable hardware engineering solutions, display application development, tailored synthetic vision applications, integration test solutions, and the IData® Tool Suite, will be participating in the Aviation Electronics Europe (AEE) show in Munich, Germany, June 19-20.

In Booth A-11, ENSCO Avionics certifiable IData Tool Suite with IDataMap will be used with Lynx Software Technologies’ Lynx178 to demonstrate an end-to-end safety-critical embedded system, featuring the Curtiss Wright VPX-131/715 processor and graphics combination, and CoreAVI’s certifiable OpenGL drivers.

IData is an advanced, commercial-off-the-shelf, Human Machine Interface (HMI) software development toolkit for creating and deploying embedded software display applications. Architected with the same philosophy as the ARINC 661 specification, IData is a single integrated display design solution with a data driven architecture, platform independent, high performing, and certifiable to DO-178C DAL A. IData offers a rich set of advanced features with seamless integrations for 2-D and 3-D digital moving maps and 3-D views to design powerful and functional HMI applications that can run on a number of target platforms.

The AEE conference brings together hundreds of individuals from around the world to participate in presentations and discussions from international industry expert speakers. Conference topics include mandates and regulations and how they impact the industry and supply chain; evolution of the European Institutional Framework; advances in ATM, navigation and surveillance; integrated systems and connectivity; and disruptive technologies and trends such as artificial intelligence. Workshops will address operations and safety, operating systems and architecture, and hardware/software challenges, including DO-154 and DO-178C.

About Lynx Software Technologies

Through precision engineering, Lynx Software Technologies develops advanced kernel technology that empowers innovative companies to create the safest, most secure systems in the world. The LynxOS®-178 RTOS is the first and only hard real-time DO-178 level A operating system to offer the interoperability benefits of native POSIX® and FACE APIs with support for the ARINC 653 APplication EXecutive (APEX), and the newly announced v2.2.4 release maintains this capability. The LynxOS-178 RTOS is also the first and only time- and space-partitioned, FAA-accepted Reusable Software Component (RSC). When the aviation-grade safety of LynxOS-178 is combined with the military-grade security of the LynxSecure Separation Kernel Hypervisor, the increased safety and security requirements of next generation avionics systems can be achieved.  www.lynx.com
