ENSCO is pleased to have been selected to showcase its SVS Core application baseline for maritime and helicopter operations at the U.S. Navy PMA-209 Air Combat Electronics Industry Day Event in Lexington Park, Md., Sept. 18-19.

The next wave of functionality being introduced to avionics systems—whether as part of a display in the cockpit, UAS control system, or operation analyst tools—is synthetic vision.  Whether over sea or land, in snow or sand, during day or night, military operations require a clear view of the environment, obstacles and sensor suite footprint. Synthetic vision promises to deliver unmatched situational awareness and greatly reduce operator workload.

ENSCO’s SVS Core 2.0 is a software application that enables display system integrators to achieve acoustic applications for the maritime environment or a tailored DVE (Degraded Visual Environment) application at a fraction of the cost of internal development. A software-only application baseline that is platform-independent and compatible with any avionics system, the SVS Core provides a clear view representation of the environment in all weather conditions, over land and sea. The ENSCO SVS Core application baseline is deployed on the P-3 aircraft and is a robust baseline for helicopter DVE applications.

ENSCO Avionics will be presenting the benefits the SVS Core delivers through its robust, extensible application baseline.

The Air Combat Electronics Program Office (PMA-209) conducts Industry Day Events to provide the opportunity for Industry to learn about government plans and needs for future naval avionics systems and capabilities. The event also provides an opportunity for industry to present briefings that outline potential contributions that can address technology gaps and fleet operational capability priorities. This opportunity is open to all companies that have innovative ideas and mature, cost-conscious solutions that can assist Naval Air Systems Command in supporting the future effectiveness of Naval Aviation.
