ENSCO, Inc. Opens New Location and Facility in Southcentral Pennsylvania

Falls Church, Va., March 22, 2006 — ENSCO Inc., a diversified research, development and information technology company, today announced the opening of a new rail maintenance facility and offices in Southcentral Pennsylvania. "ENSCO is pleased to expand to Southcentral Pennsylvania," said ENSCO CEO, Paul Broome. "This is the right fit for our technology-driven firm."

“Rail is an essential part of our nation's transportation infrastructure. The development of advanced rail technology increases safety while reducing congestion and fuel consumption,” said Congressman Platts. “I’m pleased to help welcome ENSCO to Adams County.”

ENSCO’s new facilities will serve East Coast rail customers including the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), Amtrak, New Jersey Transit, Long Island Railroad, Norfolk Southern and CSX. ENSCO is a leading provider of advanced railcar technologies and systems.

Not only does ENSCO’s rail group plan to perform major maintenance and upgrades on test cars at this facility, it also plans to utilize the 25 miles of test track available through Gettysburg and Northern Railroad. “This test track will provide ENSCO with a ‘test-bed’ for its new technology,” said Mr. Kesler. ENSCO follows and aggressively supports the FRA’s desire under our Research and Development contract to incorporate new technology into maintaining safe tracks.
