ENSCO to Deliver MicroSearch® Human Presence Detection Systems to Scottish Prison Service

Falls Church, Va., March 4, 2009 – ENSCO, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a two-year umbrella contract with an option for two additional years by the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) to provide MicroSearch® Human Presence Detection Systems for detection of hidden persons in vehicles entering and departing its establishments. Orders for two (2) MicroSearch systems have already been placed by SPS with the opportunity for additional purchases over the four-year umbrella period. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in March.

MicroSearch uses patented sensor and software technology to rapidly and accurately detect hidden persons in vehicles of any size or function. MicroSearch provides an effective electronic inspection tool for the corrections officer responsible for ensuring that each and every vehicle departing the establishment does not contain any escaping inmates.
